Hi Jim,

I suggest you mention that you are "a life-long Conservative Democrat" at the end of the first paragraph above, and take that phrase out of the last paragraph (or leave it in). Adding the Conservative label will help explain the Conservative blogs and the pictures of the Tea Party in DC. Otherwise, some will think you're a Republican, heaven forbid!

Love ya Brother,
Doug

Dear Mr. Renner,

I'm writing to you because I came across your name during a info search of a fire death that occurred in NE ohio this past March (Marci Piltz). I came upon your son Jim's website "The Coldest Cases" and "The Independent" which redirected me to your webpage.

Well anyway, I am wondering if you are a member of a family from Rootstown (I think) Ohio. I am 62years old and when I was seventeen (1964, OMG), I knew a girl named Regina Renner and her brother Walt. If I recall correctly, they lived on Sandy Lake Rd. Their Father was named Walter "Buck" Renner and he and my father served together in WWII and were good friends. I lost track of Gina after I went into the Army in 1966 and have lived in California for many years now.

Anyway, I was just curious about all this so I thought I'd drop you a line. Please write me back and let me know one way or the other. Thanks.

Best Regards,
